Why we don't scan EOT channels

We do not scan EOT (End of Train Device) radio transmission channels mainly because they are unnecessary. With CSX requiring all trains to call out signals, there is no use to have EOT transmissions potentially override the more valuable information provided in a signal callout. These include Lead Loco reporting mark & engine number, Train ID, and Location. EOT channels are more valuable when tracking trains on shortline railroads that do not have/require as many signal/location callouts.
